Telescope Health Names Paul Sapia as Chief Population Health Officer

Will spearhead data-driven initiatives that address deterrents to accessing care 

 

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 27, 2024 – Telescope Health – a physician-led, healthcare technology solutions company committed to reducing barriers to care – has announced Paul Sapia as its new Chief Population Health Officer. In this new role, Sapia will lead Telescope Health’s continued efforts to identify social determinants of health within diverse populations and cultivate collaborative partnerships with local, value-based clinical programs that address the community’s unique needs.

Telescope Health has an established track record of joining forces with local providers to address emergent needs. Locally, Telescope Health partners with WeCareJax, which improves access to care for low income and uninsured patients in Duval County. Telescope Health also provides services to Jacksonville-based nonprofits Rethreaded and JASMYN, which serve victims of human trafficking and the LGBTQIA+ populations, respectively.

Prior to joining Telescope Health, Sapia served as Humana’s Population Health Strategy Principle for Florida. The role was the latest in a diverse tenure with the company that spanned nearly a decade. Sapia also held leadership roles with Automated Healthcare Solutions and Heartland Rehabilitation Services in a career that encompassed more than 20 years. Sapia earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his Master in Health Administration from the University of North Florida, where he serves as Vice Chair on the Brooks College of Health’s Dean’s Council.
